OK, assuming I have all the kits and conversions (well most of them and the TW 105 turret sure looks nice) how do I go about building a Canadian 105 armed Sherman?  Were these based on M4A2's? Which Hull mods? Did they carry the degree markings like the Centaur when deployed in Europe?  Anybody got any pictures?

47 degree hull M4s and no (I think)...

As far as I know, and if I am wrong no doubt one (or more) of the Canadians on the DG will tell me, the Canadian 105mm Shermans were all M4s, with late welded (47 degree) hulls and VVSS.

I cannot recall seeing much in the way of photos of them but it seems extremely unlikely that they would carry the traverse markings seen on RMASG Centaurs and control Shermans, as the latter were specifically for sea borne use and reflected the pre-war practice of painting such markings on the gun turrets on warships. They were unnecessary for land use but painting them out once ashore was doubtless a low priority.

I am not sure that the Cdn 105's were from the same stocks. No doubt they would be earlier models and I am not sure about the 47 degree hull

My understanding is that, when the Canadians were interested in getting more 75mm Shermans, they were out of production, and so opted to get 105mm Shermans on the late (47 degree hull) M4 chassis, since we were interested in HE firepower instead of the higher AP power of the 76mm versions. The 47 degree M4 hull is, indeed, correct.
Armoured Brigade Models makes a really nice full conversion for this, which I believe Andrew Dextras built up for a Military Modelling article a few years ago.
Hope this helps,
