Which is the best kit to use to make a Canadian Jeep?
Are there any changes or differences between the Canadian jeep and American?

Hi!
The best 2 1/35 scale model kits of the jeep are those from Italeri (also Revell) and Tamiya latest one (ref.35013). This one is the more expensive, but also the faster to build it! Although its prize, it lacks some details, but those could be made with evergreen, etc.

I think that there weren’t major differences with US army jeep models, but perhaps our Canuck fellows could answer this!

Hi there
The first contract for jeeps for the Canadian Army was to Willys. These vehicles were early 'slat grille' MBs but with a few added features like lifting loops front and rear and power windshield wipers.
The vast majority of our 'Car, 5-cwt''s were plain vanilla Willys MBs and Ford GPWs. Records are very sketchy, but it is believed we had more Fords than Willys. The Vehicle Data book refers to both as standard.
As for kits, the new Tamiya moulding is very very nice, but the Italeri kit is just a little less nice and a lot less money.
Lots of good markings available from Archers and others.
