National Director
We received a request for sponsorship from a non-IPMS group in Calgary called
'Grumpy Old Model Builders'. Organizer Rick Chin, an IPMS Canada member, asked
that we help out as a way of spreading the IPMS word in the west. It was
agreed to give this sponsorship a try and see what happens, membership
increase-wise.
At the upcoming IPMS Ottawa CapCon Contest in September 2005, IPMS Canada will
be sponsoring the Bob Traversy memorial award for the Best Japanese Subject,
and another special award for the Best Canadian Military Subject. Many
members will remember Bob as a long-serving IPMS Canada National Executive
member, and his even longer tenure as a member of IPMS Ottawa, before his
untimely demise in Oct 2000.

RT Editor
RT 29/3 looked great. Sid didn't say that, but we thought it was
appropriate to mention it here.
Sid noted that there are not enough articles in hand for future RT planning
purposes. Once again the call for articles is going out to the
membership to consider contributing something to publish in the magazine.
Sid is planning for a RT 29/4 printing date in the first week of June, but he
is need of articles and filler material, with a leaning towards Canadian
subjects.

Treasurer
John is absent this evening, on an extended holiday in France, but we're not
worried, as cheques haven't started bouncing yet.
Jamie Leggo set up a PayPal account, so we're now one step closer having an
online membership renewal and special products ordering capability.
Jamie will be carrying on with this process, and Steve will try to figure out
how to incorporate the shopping features onto the applicable webpage areas.

Membership/Circulation
Debbie Lutz has formally stepped down from her position on the Executive, in
order to concentrate on her
other volunteer activities. There is now an active search on to find
replacement(s) to fill Deb's portfolio(s).
A draft of the 2005 Membership Survey was passed around for inputs from the
floor. It will be knocked down to 8 1/2" x 11" and sent out to
the membership with an upcoming RT mailing. Steve will also explore the
possibility of having an online completion option available through the
website, to help out those members who have given up on using Canada Post.

Marketing
Notices were sent out to various manufacturers to help advertise IPMS Canada
with their products.
Robin tabled the notion of having manufacturers sending us advertising
material if they choose to provide us with samples of their wares, it should
come without expectation of printed reviews in RT.
Bob Migliardi again suggested that the Marketing Minister contact military
museums in Canada, Cadet units, to place our presence with them via a flyer
campaign.

Archivist
Randy noted that his exchange issues area of the archives should really be
with the Editors. The Editor claims to have no room in his home.
We feared to pursue the idea of exploring Sid's home to see why it's so full..
