Old Business
The N.D. wished to clarify some comments that were made in the original
February 2003 minutes with regards to the Canadian Colours website of a member from IPMS
Buzz Beurling. These comments implied that the member had asked us for our
official endorsement of his site and, further, that the N.D. had been in
personal contact with the member in question on this matter. Neither comment
is accurate, and we apologize for any confusion or embarrassment they may have
caused. We do applaud
the work and research involved in the site. Hey, we gotta like some of it ,as
it borrowed heavily from our own IPMS Canada Canadian Colours Guide!

National Director
We've received a number of
'attaboy' notes for the recent changes to RT. Notably, one letter came
in from Florida, from Alan Black, IPMS Canada member C#0001.
The same kind of rave reviews
are coming in for the new 111 Sqn decal sheet. People are very happy
with the price and the quality. Review copies of the sheet have been
circulated, with the first e-review appearing on Scott van Aken's Modeling
Madness website.
We've been aggressively pursued by a gentlemen from a Winnipeg-based
publishing group. They are interested in launching a Canadian modelling
magazine, with IPMS Canada members getting involved in various
capacities. The ND sent a polite 'No Thanks' letter, standing with our
current policy of no link-ups with commercial businesses.
Another letter was received from someone who wanted to place 'banner' ads on
the IPMS Canada website. The ND
sent a polite 'No Thanks' letter, standing with our current policy of no
link-ups with commercial businesses.
A press release is nearly ready to distribute, to advise the Charter Chapters
of the ground rules for the new Canadian content contest.

RT Editor
A rough draft of RT 28/1 was shown around. Looks good. Once two
pages of reviews are put together, this one will be ready for the presses.
Sid said lots of articles were
in the works. He is heavy with armour articles in hand at the moment, and he is looking for more aircraft features.
Jean
is
getting up to speed as Sid's Co-Editor. They may try a Co-Ed role
reversal, with each of them taking the lead on successive RTs.
This is just crazy enough to work!
Sid suggested that a good how-to article on digital model photography would be
a good thing for RT and the website. It was pointed out that articles
like this already exist on established websites like Hyperscale, and we might
do better to put some RT submission criteria on our website, and then link to
the other sites.
To try and stave off further slides in our publishing schedule, the current
plan is to have RTs in the mail to the members in the third weeks of April,
June, August, October, and December.
This won't get us caught up on the schedule, but at least we won't be losing
ground. Wish us luck and get those articles in to IPMS Canada before you
send them to the Internet!

Seven copies of the new 111 Sqn decal sheet were sent out for review.
Once the new decal buying frenzy levels off, we will consider batch sales to
commercial distributors.

Special Projects
John is still investigating IPMS Canada going to an online payment service,
such as PayPal. The mini-survey on the webpage indicates interest in the
prospect from those who took the time to drop us an e-mail on the subject.
At the time of the meeting, 55
copies of our 111 Sqn sheet had already been sold, a good indicator.
Needing only a few final tweaks of the artwork, the next Special Projects
decal sheet should be ready to roll to the printers by the next Exec meeting.
